“Oficina do Ouro” is a jewellery workshop working gold andsilver filigree in a traditional portuguese handcraft. Located in Sobradelo da Goma, Póvoa de Lanhoso, Portugal. Pins, earrings, necklaces, pendants, bracelets, trancelins, buttons, and other pieces of traditional Portuguese jewelery, are produced here. The known “hearts” of Viana do Castelo, popularized by the pilgrimage of Our Lady of Agony, where the women’s costume is richly decorated with gold jewelery, is mostly manufactured in the region of Travassos and Sobradelo da Goma, Póvoa de Lanhoso.
The site is a pseudo online store because it allows placing orders, but not prices, because of the frequent fluctuations in the value of gold and silver. Orders are emailed for further information and costs.
